home at last

Well, I'm home from my weekend out at the lake (where I got sunburned) and from the base of the mountains (where I got to ride my bike on paved roads). It was a fun weekend, and I got to see my aunt and uncle again. We had good food and had fun.

Went to this little store that sells artsy type stuff and found some purses made out of license plates. They were freakin' awesome and I wanted to buy one. One even had a 1982 tag (the year I was born). But, the kicker is that they were FIFTY SIX DOLLARS. There is not a snowball's chance in Hell that I am paying that much for some hand made purse. I'll freakin' make one myself. Dad even has a gun-type thing for rivets, and I have to find some hinges. We have old plates in the garage, and plenty of old dilapidated cars in the neighborhood to steal plates from. I should be able to make some pretty easily.

One was cylindrical in shape, with metal ends that I liked a lot, but that would be harder to make than the square shaped ones. I'm pretty sure I could do it. On the website, they want even more for the stupid things. No way.

Well, that's it for me right now. I think I'm going to go find those old plates in the garage and start workin' on my new purse :) Adios.

(BTW, Corey, I was just joking about my sister and Wal*Mart...I wasn't offended...)
